Let’s Talk About: Ditching the Scales

What the scales don’t tell you:

I used to weigh myself every single morning without fail. It was an obsession. If I’d gained any weight, I would add an extra 30 mins onto my walk, depending on how much I’d put on.

They were controlling my life, that was until the universe decided enough was enough, and my daughter ended up pulling them down from the shelf and smashing them. This was the best thing that could have happened to me at that time of my life.

I’m now happier and healthier than I’ve ever been, and my obsession to lose weight has subconsciously faded into the background somewhere.

I can’t speak for everyone, however, the more inner work I’m doing, the more connected I’m becoming. I’m not holding onto any excess pounds as the emotional eating or under eating cycle has completely gone – again entirely subconsciously.

The scales are NEVER EVER going to show you what you want to see. Even if you see the number you want to see, you will be happy for a moment or two, then you wish to decrease that number again until you’re satisfied with that number, then it becomes a vicious circle.

It doesn’t matter what the scales tell you they’re not going to make you happy. The work you need to do is within.

As you start doing the inner work, your outer temple will fall into place.

Why don’t you throw them out and make room for something actually beneficial to your healing journey?
